Based in Arizona, USA, FlipFuel was started by Arizona State University alumni, who are also local backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts, who specialize in technology and enjoy creating simple solutions to common problems. The FlipFuel valve was created to help hikers and campers consolidate partially filled fuel containers and recycle the empties - no more partially full canisters with not enough gas to take on a trip, but enough gas in it to prevent piercing, crushing and recycling.
