The Modified Bear Paw snowshoe is an adapted traditional bear paw shape. While the Bear Paw is perfect in dense forest, due it's shape it requires an open legged gait while traveling in fields or open terrain. The modified Bear Paw reatains the somewhat shorter, wider shape for efficient and silent movement in forested areas, but is elongated to make traveling in open areas possible with a normal walking gait. Best suited to mixed terrains.
