Bushbuddy Stove
Review by Steven on 11 Dec 2019 review stating Bushbuddy Stove
Very pleased with the stove. Was very easy to light and performed well even with damp wood. Very little smoke when going and gasifies extremely well. I use it in conjunction with a small plate on top of the stove which keeps my GSI 1.1 L boiler soot free. It also works very well with my Trangia burner

Stove is small and light. With the opening on the side it’s easy to feed to stove. Good for a solo stove

I purchased the Bushbuddy to use as a stove when backpacking. I use it mainly with the Zebra 12cm Billy and the combo works great. I just got off a 2 week hike in the Mackenzie Mountains with this as my main stove and I was impressed with how well it worked burning Willow twigs as I was above tree line for the whole time. Would highly recommend this stove.

Hi Yves - thanks for your review. Sorry to hear the BushBuddy didn't meet your expectations - we are a little surprised by your review, as each BushBuddy stove is hand made in Alaska, with extremely precise tig welds and features lightweight stainless steel construction as one of it's main features. If you feel you have a warranty issue, please do contact us at support@canadianoutdoorequipment.com. As per our Return Policy (canadianoutdoorequipment.com/our-return-policy.html), you do have the option to return your stove within 30 days.

Fantastic stoves
Review by Terry M. on 27 Sep 2018 review stating Fantastic stoves
I have one from Fritz in BC before he retired and one from Alaska when it was sold as the Trekker stove. Great stoves, simple functionality, no moving parts to break. A great design and a joy to use. Anyone who likes the comfort of the campfire but does not want to impact the land as they travel through should really have a look at these. Folks who are fixated on boil times or overly concerned about soot on their camping pots maybe should look elsewhere. For everyone else, It is easy to collect forage-able ground brush throughout the day and be ready in not too much time to prepare an evenings meal or just have a small fire to play with. Once you get the hang of it, top down fires are the way to go to minimize the constant feed sometimes required. The gasification process is nice to look at and the suspended ash can makes it so the bottom of the stove does not get too hot and scorch any surfaces. And, the little ash that remains is easily spread about with no trace left. This has been my go to stove for years now and am completely happy. Plus, I like to support the cottage industries when I can and this is a good one. The current company has the training and blessing from Fritz to carry on under the name and I fully support them.
