Clay pipes were typical fare of the fur trade, and featured prominently in the lives of many peoples of the 17th and 18th century. Designed with small bowls for smoking a pinch of valuable tobacco, they persist to this day, for historical re-enactments, and as they provide very "clean" smoking properties due to the clay bowl (as opposed to wood, or cob). The Jamestowne clay pipe is made from non-toxic, commercially refined clay, and with proper care when transporting is an excellent companion for all your camp smokables.
