The Gränsfors Bruk Small Splitting Axe handle fits the Gränsfors Bruk Small Splitting Axe (SKU 441), and ends up being 20" in length once installed. Turned from dry, seasoned hickory, then soaked in hot linseed oil, and tumbled in bee's wax, the handle includes an installed steel collar near the head, a wooden wedge, and metal staple.

Phenomenal.
Bit of sacrilege, I put this on my old wetterlings 'survival' axe after a buddy, camping, over-swung and destroyed a handle I had made myself. Not wanting to go through the effort of making another handle, but with wetterlings being bought out by gransfors, I thought I'd give this handle a try with the steel collar to help prevent further inebriated incidents. I had to dremel the top of the collar to match the fit of the head prior hanging, but it was pretty simple, and the eye of the wetterlings was a pretty decent match for the handle. A bit of sanding/dremeling on the handle and I was able to hang the axe with ease. The texture on the lower third of this handle feels fantastic and the beeswax finish is perfect. Very happy with this new set up for my small camping/backpacking axe.
