The Savotta Rintamus Chest Pack is great way to carry gear on your person without putting it on your back or hips, is well suited to use when paddling and portaging, and can also be used as small day-pack that can be attached to larger canoe or hiking packs when combined with extra buckles or G-hooks (sold separately).
The Rintamus interior features a number of options for organizing your gear: three large elastic webbing loops, two small and one large flat compartment, tie-down loops and a loop surface for attaching hook-backed organizers. The rear wall has a large flat compartment for larger items. On top of the compartment a single row of 50 mm elastic webbing is sewn, forming three 8 cm wide loops, suitable for organizing smaller items. The front wall has two small flat compartments, with tie-down loops on top. A 20 x 10 cm loop surface on the inside of the front all allows you attachment of all sorts of hook-backed organizers etc.
A large, open-ended flat compartment on the back of the pack allows you to stow flat items. This can also be used to tuck the shoulder harness away when you attach the pack to your backpack. PALS webbing on the front and bottom allows you to attach small pouches, knives, bear spray, elastic cords and accessories.
