Ultimate in Base Layer Performance
Review by Patrick on 26 Jan 2020 review stating Ultimate in Base Layer Performance
I’ve worn most, if not all, of the well-known Merino wool base to outer layer clothing manufacturers products, but nothing comes close to the hyper-efficiency of Woolpower’s clothing. My 200 weight Woolpower gear outperforms Icebreaker’s 260 weight by a long shot. One of my biggest complaints about Merino base and mid-layer by other manufacturers is their short life span. I can’t speak to that just yet with regards to Woolpower, but I can say that this Swedish gear appears most robust. Speaking of Sweden, it’s a pleasure to purchase an item that’s actually made in the business’s country of origin. In fact, the name of the Woolpower employee is on a tag sewn on to the garment. I’d much rather support European business that employs it’s own people, rather than purchase items made in China etc. Of interest in that regard is that Woolpower’s cost comes in a fair amount lower than Icebreaker’s or Smartwool’s. To sum up: great gear, practical design, out performs its rating, made by Europeans in Sweden, and a very competitive price point. Woolpower is ten for ten, and I highly recommend their products.

Really love these pants. Warm, yet breathable. Also love that they dont stink instantly like many of the synthetic products I have tried.

Best cold weather touring baselayers
Review by Chris on 29 Jan 2019 review stating Best cold weather touring baselayers
I bought a set of 400g thermals for splitboarding and mountaineering in Alaska. I have worn them on long -20c days during which I have worked up quite a sweat. Thus far, I couldn't be happier.
The looped interior is really comfortable. Honestly, that doesn't matter much to me, as I am only concerned about function and would be happy to accept some level of discomfort in order to get the performance I want, but it has been a pretty sweet bonus.
Overall, these are the best merino thermals I have used to date, and I own items from all the major brands. Highly recommend.

My second pair
Review by Dallas P. on 29 Mar 2018 review stating My second pair
These 400 weight bottoms are warm enough to let me wear lighter layers up top. I don't over-heat even working hard, up to -10c. The best temperatures for me are down around -30c and I can enjoy being out several hours at a stretch without alternating between over-warm and icing up. This wool is great quality and delightful to wear.

Good and warm both
Review by Rob S. on 14 Mar 2018 review stating Good and warm both
They are what they say they are. Very good for the snow and cold. Lighter, less dense and warmer than other, cheaper merino offerings I have used, and they wick very well. We'll see what their longevity is like, but all in all I am pleased to the extent that I might give the 400 weight version a go. I'd like to see a 3/4 cut, which would make them pretty much perfect for skiboots. The fly helps with peeing, so I imagine that is what it is for :)

I'm working outside a lot and these are the nicest Long Johns I own.Just keep in mind that they are probably sized for swedish people so that my large size is a bit longer than expected. Still working great.
