Helle Harding Blade Blank

The best way to describe why I love Helle blades is this: I bent the thing at a 45 degree angle. Why? Probably because I was then tired and am an ongoing idiot.

It took a lot of force to bend the blade, but all I had to do to straighten it was apply gentle pressure, squeezing it in one hand. The triple-laminated blade proved its ability to take a beating that would have cracked many other tools, and still stay shaving sharp.

An excellent blade. High quality Norwegian steel. Holds an edge very well and sharpens up nicely to a keen edge with just a bit of honing. Installs nicely/easily in a wood handle either with or without a metal guard due to the flares shape at the blade. And a nice pleasing form with the drop point design, makes an excellent hunting blade.

Normally I would not review a product, but this is superior quality for your money. COE.co sells quality products and this is one that I'm very happy with. I'm making 4 handles for the blanks I've purchased as gifts to some close buddies. They will be very pleased with the quality of the blade.

excellent quality. Would prefer a shorter a slightly shorter tang to allow greater flexibility in the type oh handle I can put on it.
