Mora Bushcraft Survival Orange
Shipping Weight 650.00 g

The newly updated Mora Survival Orange knife now includes a 3.2mm heavy duty stainless blade along with an all-weather Firesteel and integrated diamond sharpener

The 3.2mm thick Swedish stainles steel blades are some of the sturdiest Mora has ever made, and the spines are ridgeground (non-polished) for use with the fire steel.

The robust sheath is provided with a well thought out space for the firesteel and completed with a diamond sharpener, making it easy to sharpen the knife blade. A high-friction grip gives the finishing touch to the Bushcraft Survival Orange knife - a knife that suits a tough livestyle!

  • Razor sharp 3.2 mm thick Swedish stainless steel blade with a distinct tip.
  • All-weather Morakniv® Fire Steel.
  • Integrated Diamond Sharpener.
  • Two Belt Clips.

Integrated Fire Steel

Bring the Fire Steel on your outdoor tour and be able to light a fire wherever you are. Just pull the specially designed knife back slowly and heavily along with the fire steel. The sparks easily light your barbecue, paper, birch bark or dry grass.

  • The protective coating on the steel needs to be scraped off before use.
  • Sparks of 3000 C° makes it easy to light a fire in any kind of weather.
  • Yield up to 7000 strokes.
  • Illuminates even stoves and gas grills.
  • Works in rain and snow.
  • Since it has a strong spark, it can also be used as emergency signal.
Use only the back of the knife blade with the fire steel. Never the blade edge!

Nice knife for the money. I particularly like the high visibility orange and the stainless steel blade.

Gift for son
Review by Rob C. on 27 Dec 2016 review stating Gift for son
Bought this for my son as a Christmas gift because he liked my Mora. The price was as good as anywhere I looked. I ordered online and despite being in the middle the busy season it was shipped right away. When it came there was a hand written note on the packing slip thanking me for my purchase.

Great experience at a great price.

Good knife - but not worth the money (get a Companion HD)
Review by Steven on 21 Apr 2020 review stating Good knife - but not worth the money (get a Companion HD)
The knife is great, but you're better off buying the Morakniv Companion Heavy Duty, which is 1/3 the price. The blades are both 3.2 mm thick and the spines are both edged for firesteel striking.

Hi Steven - thanks for your review and perspective.

A few things to keep in mind:

1) The Companion HD is polished, and will not strike a firesteel effectively.
2) The Companion HD is only available in carbon steel, whereas the knife you're reviewing is stainless steel.
3) The survival knife includes a firesteel and sharpener (hence the higher price).
4) Handles between the two knives are quite different in terms of shape, size and feel.
5) Sheaths are quite different also - the Bushcraft offers a belt loop, whereas the Companion HD does not.

Thanks again.

Great knife, sheath, and ferro rod
Review by Carlton on 28 Oct 2020 review stating Great knife, sheath, and ferro rod
By far the sharpest knife I've ever gotten straight out of the box. Shaved a patch on my arm about as good as any dry razor in just a few swipes. Simple, but effective design. Nothing fancy, just a sharp plain blade, and a fantastic grip. The shape will fit larger hands, and the texture makes it grip well even when wet. I bought this to replace my Gerber Strongarm as this seemed better for food prep, and wood carving. This has a smaller blade, but same length of cutting edge because the grind goes straight down to the handle which is perfect for carving. So I have just as much cutting edge in a smaller package. The 3.2mm thick blade is not what I usually go for, but I wanted thinner for food prep, which was a mess with my thicker knives (5mm blade or thicker) for fish.

I haven't gotten to take it out to baton yet so I can't speak for it's impact resistance yet, but I'm not too worried about fire starting. I heard this thing could throw a mean spark and now I'm a believer. This thing really does give the best spark I could ever expect from a ferro rod! If you can't start a fire with this package I think maybe you should seek other means of starting a fire. As for the diamond sharpener, I can't say I'm too impressed. I mean it works, and if you're in a pinch yes it will give you a ROUGH edge, but I personally wouldn't use mine unless I had to. In a survival situation it would definitely be a blessing though for a quick working edge.

The sheath is a snug fit, and the detachable belt loop is extremely secure on mine, as is the ferro rod holder which locks in with zero room for movement. Which brings me to another thing some don't think about. Sound. There is no rattling or anything on this sheath. The only sound it will make is if your belt loop is swiveling while you walk, but nothing major. It won't be louder than your footsteps anyway.

So far, a great knife for a great price!

My First Mora
Review by Sal M. on 28 Jul 2016 review stating My First Mora
Well this bushcraft survival orange is my first Mora and I'm so impressed with the sharpness out of the box. The combination of fire steel and dimond sharpener integrated on the sheath is always ready to preform and deliver. I wish it was a full tang knife but it has preformed all my tasks better then some more expensive knives.
