First impression
Review by David on 11 Aug 2020 review stating First impression
Canada post delays meant the fuel bottles didn't arrive in time for my trip so they have not yet been used. They do appear to be made of a quality one comes to expect from C.O.E.

Sturdy, lightweight
Review by Ciara on 7 Sep 2019 review stating Sturdy, lightweight
We used this fuel bottle to carry methyl hydrate for our Trangia burner. The lid locks securely and is not susceptible to spinning off (must be pushed and twisted at the same time) and I had no worries about the bottle not withstanding a few drops or bumps to my bag.

Good fuel bottle, whimsical childproof cap
Review by Alain on 22 Sep 2020 review stating Good fuel bottle, whimsical childproof cap
I purchased the Optimus 1-liter fuel bottle from Canadian Outdoor Equipment. Kudos to Dave for his awesome service.
The bottle will mainly contain my fuel reserve for multi-day hikes and journeys. The bottle is made of rather thick aluminum which renders it very rugged without making it too heavy. Flashy green color makes it very visible. The only minus point about this bottle is its childproof cap which is very capricious and difficult to open. I also have the impression that it does not close as tight as the childproof cap of my Primus liter fuel bottle. This cap is bulky due to its security mechanism. I do much prefer the old style cap, which I am sure is pretty child safe if firmly tighten. Good overall feelings though about this fuel bottle.
